Culture Advisory Group recruitment

As preparations for the Inclusive Sport and Culture Festival continue, Culture Liverpool has confirmed the appointment of Bev Ayre as Creative Director.

Bev will lead the artistic direction and delivery of the culture programme, shaping a bold, inclusive, and disability-led experience that intersects sport and culture whilst driving greater opportunity, representation, and lasting social impact for the disabled community.

 

Bev brings over 35 years’ experience commissioning and creatively producing arts, sports, and cultural programmes, and a wealth of knowledge from her roles as Senior Producer for outdoor arts experts, Walk the Plank, and as Creative Producer for Culture Liverpool.

 

Recruitment is also underway for a Cultural Advisory Group (CAG) to support the development and promotion of the programme.  

 

The CAG will play a vital role in shaping an inclusive and accessible festival experience for artists, participants, audiences, staff, and volunteers.

 

Members of the CAG will share lived experience and insights, provide advice on accessibility and inclusion, help identify barriers and opportunities, contribute to meaningful and practical change, offer feedback pertaining to the festival’s cultural programme design and delivery, and support the creative director in shaping a cultural programme that integrates sport and culture from artists and athletes from the disabled community.

 

Applications are welcomed from disabled individuals in a freelance capacity and/or organisations.
