Para-Canoe


Para Canoe is a Paralympic sprint sport for athletes with physical impairments, featuring 140m races in specialized kayaks (K) or outrigger canoes (va'a/V). It debuted at the Rio 2016 Paralympics. The sport requires more than strength. It also includes sharp techniques in paddling and balance.
Classification: (KL1-KL3, VL1-VL3) based on trunk and leg function to ensure fair competition.
Location: Salthouse Dock
Dates: Friday 7 May & Saturday 8 May
